It’s not just enough to have the puppy and assume that he will integrate perfectly into the family; he needs his own toys, food, bed, etc.

We advise that you begin by choosing an appropriate bed. Remember to think about where he will sleep and how much space you have for his bed. You can purchase a range of dog beds in store, including “doggie duvets”, wicker baskets, and soft beds with removable cushions. Your puppy will need a place to call his own until he gets used to his new home.

Then you need to think about toys. Puppies are very active and can get bored very easily. If you don’t want to turn your home into chewed up kingdom, we recommend plenty of toys. Some of the most popular toys are The Kong, squeaky toys (available in various shapes and sizes) and rope toys. All of these will keep pup amused for hours.

We understand puppy cannot go out for walks until he is fully inoculated, however you can still purchase these ready for the big day. It is really important to socialise your puppy.

Finally you need to think about diet. We suggest you start as you mean to go on by feeding your puppy a complete diet such as James Well beloved or Burns. Some people like to feed a wet meat. Please remember that your Puppy is constantly growing and only has a tiny tummy so be sure not to over feed or you could induce health issues. Even though he may look like a fully grown Dog, Pup is still just a baby, so you have to be careful. Please also leave plenty of fresh drinking water.
