Reiki Healing: What Is It and Can It Help Me? - By Louisa Miles

But first an introduction.....

About a year ago I decided to try Reiki. I had heard of it briefly in previous years, however being a sceptic, didn’t feel it would benefit me but it totally changed my life, and my perception of alternative therapies and my understanding of the human/animal emotion.

After six weeks of having Reiki , I chose to look into learning how to do Reiki for myself. In May 2007, I completed Reiki Level 1 & Level 2 with my Reiki Master Rifa Bhunnoo and then in December 2007 I became a Reiki Master/Teacher. This then enabled me to start treating other people/animals, which in turn led them to experience the same benefits I had earlier.

The experiences I had led me to believe that I would be able to help other people/animals who were perhaps struggling with health or emotional problems.

What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy, an energy which is all around us. Reiki is known as “alternative therapy”. Just like Reflexology and EFT Reiki is used to help deal with problems of virtually any kind, physical & emotional and can often succeed where other treatments have failed. Reiki is completely safe; it is given by placing the hands on or over the body; sometimes in a specific sequence, sometimes according to intuition. Energy is then channelled through the practitioner’s hands to the receiver’s body.

What is EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique?)

EFT is a simple technique of releasing the emotional issues which we all carry and which affects how we view, think about and react to the world in which we live.
EFT is a form of acupuncture except that we don’t use needles.
Instead, we tap with the fingertips to stimulate certain meridian points while we are ‘tuned in to our issues’

EFT can relieve a wide range of physical symptoms. This too, is copiously clear in case histories, which provide unmistakable evidence of the link between our physical and emotional issues. Addictions, fatigue, depression and more...........
